The remake onslaught continues with THE CRAZIES, a movie "loosely based" on George A. Romero's little-seen original.Aside from Justin Welborn, star of THE SIGNAL*, I have no idea what to expect from this movie. Romero is listed as Executive Producer, but I don't know if he had any real input.

*Probably the best movie ever made about a town going nuts, as well as my choice for best horror film of the past twenty years.

i saw the original a looooong time ago and was sort of ehh? about it. i bought it on DVD real cheap a few months ago and still haven't rewatched it yet. might be time to dust it off and give it another go.
